I say Fricke wheels are the very best value in spinning wheels. They're great, smooth-operating, quiet wheels that are sturdy, easy to tote, and will grow along with you. I freakin love my Frickes! They're easy to treadle, sturdy, and very flexible, suitable for everything from cobweb to crazy kitchen-sink yarn. Assembly is simple with excellent instructions. Frame is various hardwoods, such as ash, white or red oak. Wheel is MDF with an attractive wood grain finish on both sides.
