A big, fluffy batt of superwash wool with about 10% sparkly nylon added for strength. This is a layered batt, so the sparkly nylon goes in thin layers and will spin in randomly--or I'm happy to recard if you'd like a more even mix. I prefer the layers so that the hand-dyed wool retains a more irregular color and fiber blend.
Both the superwash wool and they nylon were hand-dyed in shades of burgundy and yellow.
These are big 3oz batts. If you spin nice and fine, you'll be able to a pair of short medium socks from one batt. Get a second batt if you spin thicker, want longer socks, or have larger feet. The yarn will be machine washable.
Batts are dreamy to spin--light and fluffy and full of air, they almost spin themselves, so they're a great choice for new spinners or those who are loathe to pre-draft top.
